"I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow." -- Jeremiah 31:13
The LORD upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down (Psalms 145:14). From oppression and violence he redeems their life; and precious is their blood in his sight (Psalms 72:14).
Remember, that the devil has only one door by which to enter the soul: the will. There are secret or hidden doors. Temptations, discouragement, and unrest are the wares offered by the enemy. Remember this: if the devil makes noise, it is a sign that he is still outside and not yet within. That which must terrify us is his peace and concord within the human soul (Saint Pio of Pietrelcina)
He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son (Rev. 21:7). To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne (Rev. 3:21).
